Tired but inspired!

I have just returned from my trade mission to New York, organised by Enterprise Nation. As with all of these things, there are always positives and negatives to take back and digest when you get home. One of the most important things for me was chatting to the rest of the members of the 'mission' and hearing their stories, struggles, successes and advice. Setting up your own business can be lonely process, so it's important to hear that others are going through the same challenges as you and it reminded me that I am not going mad and I need to keep going! And now all that remains is for me implement the lessons learnt and continue to grow my brand.....

I'm delighted to be on the selection panel for Cafe Art's photography contest!

Every year Cafe Art run a photography contest with people affected by homelessness- they hand out over 100 single-use cameras and the participants have 5 days to take photos. After processing and printing the judging will take place on Monday 10 July to choose the top 20 winners, and the participants will be able to select five photos each for the exhibition on Tuesday 11 July. The top 20 then make it into Cafe Art's annual calendar and the profits go towards helping those affected by homelessness. As part of the London Photo Festival (which I co-founded), we also offer two of the finalists a free exhibition space at our annual festival.

Popping Up in New York!

As part of Enterprise Nation's Trade Mission to New York, we will be popping up at HSBC Chinatown when you can come down and see my products (and me!) in person ( 16 July 10h00-16h00). I am very excited about being part of this Mission because photography, and photographers, have always been seen as an important aspect of the art world in the United States. The US market for cameras and camera accessories is therefore one of the biggest worldwide and I am looking forward to meeting you!
