My camera bags get in front of the camera!

I am more known for taking images of architecture, with a particular fondness for night photography. So when I ventured out of my comfort zone to take modelling shots, I was a little nervous but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The main difference (apart from getting to grips with natural light and whether to use a flash or not) is instructing a model and working out the most flattering poses. This was a real challenge for me as I am used to be a solo photographer! I really enjoyed a new aspect of photography and look forward to my next modelling assignment..... I was on location in London with Loxington, the luxury shoe jewellery brand.

What can't I travel without?

My greatest passions (after fizz!) are travel and photography. I am sure that I am not alone in struggling to know what to pack - here are my top four things I cannot leave home without:- 1. A kokoi - a traditional rectangle of woven cloth originating from Africa, particularly along the east coast as far south as the Horn of Africa. This can be used as a pillow, sarong, towel, you name it! 2. Female photographers will be familiar with the nuisance of carting around both a handbag and a camera bag. Am I a duck or an eagle? No, I'm an entrepreneur!

I have just completed the initial stages of #Godobootcamp training, a programme called Entrepreneurial Spark, the world's largest free people accelerator for early stage and growing ventures (and powered by NatWest). I must admit that on Day One, I felt a bit out of my depth and comfort zone and when they announced that we would have to pitch our businesses in the afternoon, I nearly had a cardiac arrest. I then decided to think about this from a different mindset (see, I was listening!) - I had been selected by Entrepreneurial Spark to attend this programme and if they had faith in my business and abilities, then so should I.
